How is the 4k version of this smaller than the 1080p?

The bit rate is really low, which frankly is more important than resolution, atleast to me.

Well yeah it is, the entire file is 6gbs. I've downloaded high quality 4k encodes and remuxs from ultrahdclub.org bitrates can exceed 100mbps.

Do I need an invite to make an account? Says something about a secret password.

Probably upscaled since there's no official 4K bluray release.

X265 HEVC. Google it.

It allows for a lower bit-rate with minimum loss to quality. It is definitely not lossless, but it isn't YIFY bad either. You'd get a best of both worlds sort of deal.

For comparison:

  • The Lossless 4K Release is 43.3 GB (unsurprising, as it's a complete dump of EVERYTHING on the BluRay disc)
  • The 1080p x265 10bit 8CH version is 2.46 GB
  • The 1080p x264 version is 9.8 GB for the same or similar quality
