The thing is in my country your balls end up in vice when torrenting stuff like that, and I'm not willing to pay for a VPN that costs me 15€ a month so just to hide my ass mega does that for 5€ :D so it's more or less the gold old search for stuff. And mega really seems to pick up on many sites besides here, wich i really do love because of the relative good anonymity provided by them.

And as you say really nice to see everything in one spot! :D

Yeah, Mega's premium is worth it imo. Mainly due to the download limit. In regards, to torrenting, that isn't much of an issue where i'm from but i use a seedbox anyways and upload from there too. Much faster and safer :P

aye, in America they pull this shit too. Believe it or not, it's possible to get buy on just free direct download links.

Another great alternative would be DC++. DC++ is a super old file sharing client where essentially people meet up in chat rooms with their own share lists.

I only go to the comic book/audio book hubs, but the major players that hang out there have 10-20 terabyte shares, and they have just about everything else you can think of, especially popular tv/movies/etc.

DC++ can be a day or two late with stuff, but it's one of the best places to download big collections/old files.

Also with torrenting, you can actually get away with some torrenting right? As far as popular movies/tv, if you download it the day of your fine...you get in trouble when you wait a few days and then try to download it.

As far as shit like One Piece though I doubt you'd get in trouble....I still torrent anime shows American or not and haven't received a letter yet. Being in America, downloading anything foreign is safe, on the super super super slim chance you get a letter, you can't get sued anyway so they don't even bother telling ISP's of people in America, but I guess depending on your country the rules could be crazy....

Reading torrent freak, apparently the U.S.A likes to go to every country they can and impose crazy ass piracy regulations, whether they are just testing stuff, or recooping lost money from other countries they can bully I dunno....

But ya, in America only tv shows/movies get watched by copyright trolls, and only popular ones at that.

Thank fuck there's enough DDL sites around these days with free fast file locker links like click'n'upload, gamefront, zippyshare, usercloud, and tons of others.

Still can't believe Mega did this 5gb cap though....fucken ruined my damn life with that shit lolz.

yeah i know DC++ from a few giant LAN-conventions, but still here in Germany your balls end up in a vice, we have whole companies specialized in finding people who p2p stuff... happend to me before even with an private VPN... so the best option tho is to pay 5$ for an terabyte of data wich is okay for me i share my account with a friend so basically i get all i want for the price of an beer :D

I've never heard of DC++, but it sounds kind of like SoulSeek, a p2p program that has different rooms for different things, which is what I used to get all of my music. I'll have to give DC++ a try for exactly what you use it for, audiobooks & comics. Thanks for the tip!

I got a plug-in for VLC(I know vlc meh) that skips a predefined time at the start of each file. So for shows that always start with the intro it’s nice, set it to skip the first 90 seconds and you are good to go. It’s called “skip intro” I am pretty sure.

There's a post from awhile back with 1-707, highest quality is x264 720p - 200 to 707 is in 720p, looks fine and only takes up ~65GB - you could have everything subbed in 1080p or 720p for roughly 160GB if you took 1-200 from here

EDIT: If you have a premium account, you can use MegaSync to stream episodes also, so no need to even download them

Why do I prefer 720p? It's a good balance of filesize and quality.

Longer rationale: I have about 250 TV shows and it takes up 16.7 TB... mostly 720p (few 480p/1080p)... would need a lot more space for 1080p. I save 1080p for feature films (~95% of my movies are 1080p, few 720p/480p... a little more than a dozen duplicates in 4K/HDR). I sit about 8-9 feet away, 65" TV... 720p looks good.

It depends how closely you are sitting to the TV. Check out this chart from rtings.com, which shows optimal viewing distance. If you are sitting 4-6 ft away, 1080p is worth it, but further away it's not.

Actually AnimeRG or psuedo has encoded One Piece all episodes in x265 720p and 1080p both with excellent quality and file size IN DUAL AUDIO. Searching on any torrent site you would be able to find his mega pack torrents.

A couple of years ago they began airing "One Piece Special Edition" on Japanese TV, which is a re-airing of the show from the first episode with everything upscaled to 1080p. That's where these subs come from. You can tell because of the yellow text added to the logo during the intro sequence (which I think just says "Special Edition" in Japanese.) The content of the episodes is identical to the originals, though, with nothing cut or added.
